NIB Invites Mustapha Ussif and A-Plus, Speaker Releases MPs for Interrogation

The National Investigations Bureau has summoned two legislators for questioning as part of ongoing investigations into multiple scandals that have shaken the nation. The lawmakers in question are the former Youth and Sports Minister and Member of Parliament for the Yagaba-Kubori Constituency, Honorable Mustapha Ussif, and the outspoken Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Honorable Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus.

According to Abdul Karim Bintu of Ghmailonline.com, Hon. Mustapha Ussif has been called to address allegations related to the National Service Authority ghost names scandal, during his tenure as Executive Director. Additionally, he is expected to respond to controversies surrounding the budget and organization of the All-African Games under his leadership.

Sources indicate that Hon. Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A-Plus, has been invited in connection with his recent threat to reveal the identity of a former government official allegedly implicated in the gruesome murder of Ahmed Suale. Furthermore, the Gomoa Central legislator is expected to provide information regarding his claim on social media about intercepting a truck carrying suspected stolen cables belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana within his constituency.

Meanwhile, the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, has granted approval for the legislators to be interrogated, following a formal request from the investigation agency.
